Colliers Launches - Clifton Castle
The Clifton Castle, built in 1926, is a large passenger vessel laid out on two levels and is suitable for a variety of functions and theme nights.
Its historical claim to fame is being involved in the D-Day landings of American troops on to the Normandy beaches in 1944. Since that time it has been refurbished and modernised.
It has a large open front deck for those glorious summer evenings, the smaller rear deck is canopied.
For sightseeing it will accommodate 200 people.
The enclosed saloon features a licensed bar and comfortable upholstered seating. It will cater for up to 100 for private functions and for silver service up to 50 people.
There is a new addition of a cosy catering & dining saloon area below stairs for those more intimate gatherings.
